1. Company Mission & Commitment
PASS Security is committed to providing the highest standard of training for individuals seeking to obtain a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). Our mission is to equip our learners with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and professional mindset required to operate safely, legally, and effectively within the private security industry. We are dedicated to upholding the standards set by the SIA and awarding bodies, ensuring integrity, excellence, and learner success in every course we deliver.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all learners, trainers, assessors, and administrative staff involved in the delivery of SIA licence-linked training courses at PASS Security. This includes, but is not limited to, the following courses:

Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry

Level 2 Award for Security Guards in the Private Security Industry

Level 2 Award for CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) Operators

Any other SIA-linked qualifications offered by PASS Security.
3. Learning & Development Policy
3.1. Course Content & Delivery:

All training materials and delivery methods will fully comply with the current syllabus and assessment criteria set by the relevant awarding organisation (e.g., Highfield, Qualsafe, NOCN).

Training will be delivered by SIA-approved and qualified trainers who possess substantial industry experience.

A blend of theoretical learning and practical, scenario-based exercises will be used to ensure comprehensive understanding and skill development.
3.2. Assessment & Certification:

All assessments will be conducted fairly, consistently, and in strict accordance with the awarding body's regulations.

Internal quality assurance processes will be rigorously followed to maintain the validity and integrity of all qualifications awarded.

Learners will be provided with clear feedback on their assessment performance.
4. Learner Welfare & Support Policy
4.1. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion:

PASS Security is committed to providing equal access to training for all individuals, regardless of age, gender, race, disability, religion, or sexual orientation.

We will make reasonable adjustments to support learners with additional needs or learning difficulties. Learners must disclose any needs in advance to allow us to provide appropriate support.
4.2. Health & Safety:

A safe learning environment is our priority. All practical sessions, particularly Physical Intervention training, will be conducted under strict supervision with a primary focus on learner safety.

All learners are required to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect their participation in practical activities via a confidential medical form.

First aid facilities and a qualified first aider will be available on-site for all courses.
4.3. Conduct & Behaviour:

Learners are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner towards trainers and fellow learners.

Any form of bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the course without refund.
5. Fees, Booking, and Cancellation Policy
5.1. Course Fees:

All course fees will be clearly stated on our website and promotional materials. The fee includes all necessary training, materials, and the cost of initial certification.
5.2. Booking Confirmation:

A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the full course fee or an agreed deposit.
5.3. Cancellation by Learner:
-
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the course start date will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made within 7-14 days of the course start date will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start date, or a failure to attend, will not be eligible for a refund.

In exceptional circumstances, refunds may be offered at the discretion of the management.
5.4. Cancellation by PASS Security:

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances. Learners will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
6. Data Protection & Privacy Policy

PASS Security will collect, process, and store learner personal data in strict compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal information will only be used for the purposes of course registration, certification, and necessary communication with the awarding body. It will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes without explicit consent.

7. Complaints and Appeals Policy

PASS Security is committed to providing a high-quality service. Any learner who is dissatisfied with any aspect of their training or assessment has the right to raise a complaint or appeal an assessment decision.

A formal procedure for complaints and appeals is available upon request. All issues will be treated seriously, investigated thoroughly, and resolved promptly.
8. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually by the management of PASS Security to ensure it remains relevant and effective. The next scheduled review date is October 2024.
